Finch Field - Host Site

Historic Finch Field has served as a baseball incubator for the southern Triad since its construction in 1935. The field was first home to a series of minor league baseball teams - from the Thomasville Tommies to the Thomasville Chairmakers. Soon, the name "High Point-Thomasville HiToms" stuck as the team entered one of the best periods of its history from 1948-1958. Players like Hall of Famer Eddie Matthews and Curt Flood put on HiTom jerseys as the team won two NC State League titles. After nearly 30 years without baseball beginning in 1970, the HiToms have now returned as a member of the Coastal Plain League and have since won three Petitt Cup championships. The field is also home to the Post 87 HiToms, the host of this year's tournament, along with several other youth baseball teams
