2020 Player Signing: Tyrese Hearst


High Point/Thomasville, N.C. – The High Point-Thomasville HiToms have announced the addition of Tyrese Hearst to the 2020 roster. The 6'2" right-handed pitcher was born and raised in Thomasville and attended Westchester Country Day. He's currently a junior at Catawba College after beginning his career with Winston-Salem State.

Hearst will be playing his second summer season with the HiToms. In 2019, he made 10 appearances and pitched a total of 19 innings.

The 2020 season, while short, was a good one for Hearst at Catawba. He was off to a 2-0 start at the point in which the season was canceled due to COVID-19.

Hearst earned all-conference and all-state honors en route to a state championship back in high school for the Wildcats.
