HiToms remain hot at the plate, blow by Blowfish 6-1

Myles Christian (Middle Tennessee State) had two home runs, and Josh Baker (Middle Tennessee State) added another as the HiToms pounded out ten hits en route to a 6-1 win over the Lexington County Blowfish at Finch Field.

Logan Workman (Lee University) got the win for the HiToms, going five innings and striking out nine while allowing one earned run on four hits.

Christian got the scoring underway as he slapped a home run to give HPT a 1-0 lead in the first inning. In the second inning, after Jacob Whitley (Charlotte) reached on an infield single, Blayne Jones (Dallas Baptist) drove in Whitley on an RBI double to extend the HiToms lead to 2-0.

Christian would hit his second home run in the fourth inning, and Baker followed up in the fifth to put the game out of reach. 

The HiToms will host Forest City on Thursday. Gates will open at 5:30 as Finch Field will host a pregame concert presented by the 3 Heath Brothers, beginning at 5:45.
