In the final game of the regular season, the HiToms saw Myles Christian make history.
It was the top of the 7th in the second game of the double-header and HPT led the Owls 2-1, but that wasn't important.
Myles Christian led off the inning in what was probably his final at-bat in the regular season.
He already hit 17 home runs this year, tied with Jason Dubois (1998) for the CPL single-season record.
On a 2-2 pitch from Timothy Davila, Myles belted #18 over the centerfield wall to put himself alone atop the record books.
The HiToms met him at home plate and celebrated like he had just walked off the Owls, but he was just the first batter of the inning.
HPT would score 4 more runs, and Christian even came back to the plate for his actual final at-bat.
The HiToms won 7-1 to split the double-header, in which Myles racked up 5 hits and a walk in just 14 innings of baseball.
The Owls come to Finch Field for a 1-game elimination playoff at 7.
