HiToms Roll Asheboro in 6th Straight Win

Asheboro has been a mystery all season, but the HiToms are starting to solve them.
HPT took down the Snakes 5-4 at Finch Field and have now won 8 of their 12 matches this year.

Taylor Sugg loaded up the bases to begin his first start for HPT, but got away unscathed and went on to pitch 4 scoreless innings.

The HiToms took a 4-0 lead, including a towering opposite-field homer from Dylan Enwiller, his first of the season.

The Copperheads clawed back in the 6th, making it a 4-3 game in a rare rocky outing from Burl Carraway.

Sam Taylor responded with a clutch 2-out RBI in the bottom of the inning to score Wager, and they'd need it.  Asheboro scored again in the 7th and were threatening to tie it up (or worse) with 2 baserunners and 2 out.

HPT called in Michael Boswell from the 'pen, and The Wizard of Boz would go on to complete a 7-out save, striking out 5 Copperheads.
