HiToms Hang Tough in 5-3 Win

Friday looked like it was going to be a long night, a couple of walks and errors gave the Copperheads an early 2-run lead.

HPT turned around the momentum pretty quick, however.

Eli Boles pitched 4 scoreless innings after the rocky start, lowering his ERA to 1.50 in the CPL.

It was the Zach McLean Show at the plate for the HiToms, he broke the seal with a fielder's choice to score Bailey Welch, hit a game-tying monster homerun (his second in 4 games), and came up with a 2-out single sending in Myles Christian to score the go-ahead run in the 8th.

Brennan Kelly once again dazzled at the end of the game, picking up the win while K'ing 4 in the final 2 frames.
