HiToms End Preseason on High Note

The HiToms touched double digits again tonight, the 10 runs against the Bulldogs of Kernersville leave us at 35 runs in just 3 games!

It felt like a bit of déjà vu at first, HPT opened up the scoring with 4 in the second inning, including a 2-run jack from who else but Myles Christian, hitting his 3rd in just 2 games at Finch, and reached base safely 4 times tonight as well.  Baily Welch also continued his scorching start, the shortstop went 3-5 with 2 runs and a steal.  Ryan Caveness and Cameron Peters also got onboard 3 times.

The HiToms have seen production from every part of their lineup so far, but the pitching has impressed in their own right.

Tyler Garam starting the evening, but it was another bullpen-combo day as he combined with Eli Boles, Brennan Kelly, and Will Hicks, holding the Bulldogs to 3 runs on the night, and striking out 7.

The HiToms won't be gifted a soft landing for their start to Coastal Plains play, they make the trip to Gastonia tomorrow night to face the league's defending champs.  Then on Friday, it's the Gastonia Grizzlies' turn to hit the road as they play again at Finch Field for the CPL home opener.
