The Piedmont Baseball Historical Society is an organization dedicated to the preservation of baseball history in the North Carolina Piedmont. Conducting its second annual Hot Stove League Dinner Friday, March 5th, 2004 at 12 W Main St. in Thomasville, the PBHS welcomed former big league player and coach Hal Starrette as its keynote speaker.
The PBHS is still offering area fans the opportunity to purchase a commemorative, engraved brick along Finch Field's new "Walk of Fame." Situated at the entrance to Finch Field, the "Walk of Fame" will be an eternal showcase of our community's support of the HiToms, American Legion Baseball and Finch Field's generational significance.
The PBHS Hot Stove League Dinner also featured the presentation of three Piedmont area high school baseball awards: Myron "Red" Hayworth Player of the Year Award, Jimmy Grudzis Coach of the Year Award and the Stephen Bollinger Memorial Student-Athlete of the Year Award.
